Nothing Fancy, But A Couple Pics of Our Garden

We are proud of the progress. Got a mix of 14 different heirloom maters (26 plants,) mix of heirloom and conventional bell peppers, watermelons, green sweet melons, radishes, okra, cukes, hull beans, pole beans, lima beans and corn. We turned this plot for the first time this spring and have been surprised with how well it took.

Oh and we are also growing cats as well!

Cats are good; especially with mashed potatoes and gravey.

Was thinking the same thing as TX300mag. Always was told that corn needs to be planted in bunches or close rows for pollination purposes.

Didn't think it was going to be an issue but if it don't make, it dont make. Not much for growing corn but stuck some in the ground this year just to see how it grows out here.

I wouldn't sweat it Deck78. If it doesn't pollinate all the way you'll just have a few kernals missing-no big deal.

Hey man, it took me a while to get it right with my corn too. The UT extension has bunches of good info for home gardeners. I keep their site in my favorites for quick reference. Below is a link from their site on home garden sweet corn.
