NO FROST THROUGH NOV 14TH...

Still tracking it, they warmed the forecast up and we are now frost free through the 45 day forecast which goes through NOV 14. If it holds true, it will be the latest first frost date in history for middle tn.

I doubt it will. it had frost in the forecast in the middle of October, then warmed it up until the 45 day forecast ended in the end of October. Then they changed it and said frost the week of the juvenile hunt.

Chances are it will change again.

it don't bother me about deer hunting, but we have an ambitious coyote hunting schedule and the sooner it gets cold on november, the better the hunting in JAN-FEB. DEPRESSING

the old meteorologist on channel 5 nashville, said the new projections were indicating a dry warm october, so i checked and accuweather agrees. i hope that is not the case. they have this weekend temps now pushing 90 in my area. a week ago they had it at 78. every time they redo the forecast they add 10 degrees.

And there's the rub. Accuweather's daily forecasts, especially out 30 days, have a very bad reputation for accuracy. I love their seasonal forecasts, but I've learned over the years to ignore their extended daily forecasts.

And don't put any stock in daily forecasts out beyond 7 or 8 days. That level of daily forecasting precision DOES NOT YET EXIST. General weather trends, yes. Exact high and low temperature and amount of precip, no.

Oh Oh - heavy frost this AM in West TN. The grass is white and the car windows are seriously covered. On the car it feels hard and icy - not that light dusty stuff.

We had a light frost in tipton co. this am
