Yea the mega load looks tempting but i hate to leave something that works so well.

Well you better know what your paying for BEFORE you buy.... supposedly there may be an issue with the Federal HeavyWeight shot that is being sold at different suppliers.... It doesn't weigh what it is advertised to weigh.... You could be paying Nitro prices for a Wal-Mart shell.

The mega weight is made by nitro. Thats what i was talking about and typed mega load. I just hate to switch from something that is so deadly. That 2 7/16 load in my remington is unreal. I shot the 2 1/4 load and thaought it was great and then mistakenly bought some of the 2 7/16 and they blew away the 2 1/4 loads. but they do kick quite a bit more.

Final Flight in union city can ship them to your address if you dont mind giving credit card number over the phone. I have done it several times they are good people price is generally around 7.00 a shell

I know, the MegaWeight is what he is now making using the Federal HeavyWeight HD shot.... heavier than 13, it is supposed to weigh in at 15.

It may have been a fluke from the shot maker or the supplier was just getting rid of old shot in hopes nobody would notice.... But I know several people that ordered the Federal HeavyWeight #6s. When they actually got them and started loading shells out, it actually weighed 11...... far cry from the 15g/cc it was supposed to be.

All I'm saying is if you buy shells with the "HeavyWeight" shot, make sure they were measured out and checked for density.

I like the Nitros, but a couple cycles through the gun, unloading/loading and the wax over the crimped end breaks, and the pellets will come out. NOT durable. I will take my chances with commercially made Hevi-Shots

a candle and a lighter will take care of that problem in about 10 seconds.

A few years ago I wanted to make sure I had a lifetime supply of his stuff so I bought two 25count boxes of his 3.5" triplex Heavyshot.

2 boxes would only last me about 4 or 5 years :) If I live long enough I hope to shoot another 15 boxes of Nitro's in my life.
