I am putting a set of Nikon Monarch ATB 12x42 binoculars up for auction to help the cause that RUGER posted about in the General Forum. This is to help a tndeer member, so hopefully they will fetch a little more than what I would otherwise be able to sell them for. Starting bid is $100. Auction will remain open until 7pm EDT Monday. Pay RUGER by check or PayPal. Once he has your payment I will ship everything to you. No extra cost for shipping.
Here are the facts on this set of binos:
Make and Model: Nikon Monarch ATB 12x4 model #7437
Purchase Date: August 25, 2009
Purchased from: Cabela's
Purchase Price: $269.99
Warranty: Nikon's warranty is not transferable, so these come with no warranty.
Condition: Seriously - these are like new.
Use: Used by me on one deer hunt in a box blind in Missouri. I did not get a deer on that hunt. They have been in my closet ever since. Yes, they have literally been sitting in my closet for almost 5 years.
Why: I prefer lower power optics. I have a pair of 6x and 8x binos, and they are all I ever use.
What is included: Everything you see in the pictures, including the box and instruction manual. The UPC code is missing from the box because I needed it for a rebate that was being offered when I bought them.
I am throwing in a set of 8x22 Bushnell compact binos. These are old and show wear, but they work fine. They are not a high quality set of binos, but they are clear and they focus just fine. They are perfect to give to a kid or grandchild to play with and if they get lost or destroyed it won't be a big deal. Comes with lens caps and case.
Lastly, I am throwing in a Dakota stainless NWTF hunting knife. They sent me this knife when I joined NWTF. It is made in China and is definitely not a high quality knife, but it will butcher a deer no problem. It sharpened just fine for me and it has never been used.
