Nickajack bank fishing?

Headed to nickajack this weekend for a little camping was wondering if anyone had any tips for some bank fishing for catfish down there? Not asking for spots just wanna catch a few

Go down to the dam catch whatever small fish you can on night crawlers and use him for bait. Thank me later If that don't work cuss me later

Which side of dam timber jack? Calm side or generator side?

We fish on the calm side around the wing wall. There's a deep hole out in there.

Really? I have fished it for years never caught a fish there. And are you referring to the wing as the wall up close to the generators?

We set on the bank on the West side throw as far out to the wall by the locks as far as we can. I use a long pole so I can really chunk it out there.

I'll have to try that like I said I have never got any catfish whatsoever on that side

It's feast or famine but when they're there we catch some biguns. The only time I fish the other side is in the boat we catch several but they're usually channel cats
