Picked up a Bergara wilderness ridge in 300wm a few weeks back. Added a Bergara 20moa rail, warne maxima rings, and a leupold vx5 3-15. I hope load development doesn't take long. I'm excited to try this gem out!

Decided to get it on paper and ready for load work up. Once I was satisfied on paper I got my hand loads and ran a ladder test over the chrony. First shot hit up by the upper right small red box. The small holes are 22. After an adjustment, next 3 hit just below bullseye, right side. These are core lokts of some variety, guy at work brought them with no box. That's good enough for checking loads and should be extremely close at 100, as these were all shot at 50 yards. Button left of the bullseye were all hand loads.

Nice rig! The proceeds from the sale of those A-Max boolits must have contributed to the cause 🙂 I'm loading some of those today and weather permitting I'll be trying them out on my range later today.
The need for ammo was the cause of the amax lol. I just didn't feel comfortable using them and was eventually able to get something more suitable. I hope they treat well.

Nice rig and shooting. What will be the primary use? TN whitetails, going out west, or just your "one and done" hunting rifle for doing it all?
I've wanted a Bergara for awhile now. Missed out on the 280AI that came thru a few months prior and kicked myself over that one. I have no need for a magnum and swore for years I wouldn't have one lol. But with their caliber offerings I felt this was my best choice. So basically it'll be just a Tn deer killer. If I happen to go west I'll have that covered.

Looking at one of these in 28 Nosler vs the Premier Approach. The accuracy posted may have saved me some money however Bergara lists the twist rate for 28 Nosler as 1:9.5 instead of the standard 1:9 for other 7mms.
