StatelineRut Posted about this a few weeks ago in case anybody missed it. link to thread below.

I fineshed an article in the Feb "Shooting Times" on them a little bit ago it isn't on there web site yet but Hopefully they will be as good as the article leads one to believe.

Made in the USA for MSRP of 149$

They look like the older Tradiational Redfields of the 70's but updated if not for the turrets, power adjuster and finsh it would be hard to tell them apart formthe pics. Nothing mentioned about a Widefield :(

Author Frooze it over night in water and cooked it @ 150 degrees for an hour in a gas oven with no ill effects on the scope.

Might have to try one down the road.

i have a redfield 5 star that i bought about 15 years ago,i read where another company had bought them & that they wouldn't honor any warranty but on their new scopes, why buy a name if you wont honor their lifetime warranty's sold by that name brand in years past?.they may be great but i bet the new owners wont honor any previous scopes also,mike243

I will probably make Redfield my next optics purchase when one is needed. I love the fact that they are made in the Leupold facility and in America at that.

At that price, one could speculate that the Redfield scopes would be like the optical and mechanical quality of a Leupold Rifleman.

I just hope they are built like they were back in the day, and don't let the Redfield name go down the toilet.

Why would any company honor something they didn't take on to start with??

At the time Refield was forced to close by the EPA they set up a Warranty Repair Center in Fla ABO USA.

Blount INC now ATK bought the the rights to the Mounts and Rings still do. It was several years before they also got them for the Scopes. The scope line has changed hands 3x to the current Leupold none have taken up the Denver USA Made Warranties as to the above.

Have no ideal if anybody honors the warranty for the Blount/ATK and later Meade owned Redfields nor if there is any one doing repair work on them. The above and another company will do repair work on the Denver made scopes links below

why buy a name & not continue the past history & promises made?
why would i think the company would be run better by another company ? empty promise mean nothing to me,the redfield name means instability & lies in order to sell products, why a leading company that stands out due to their warranty policy would choose to buy a name that has been muddied ,i would not want any brand name that has been passed thru several hands & each say tough shat on past promises.how much would the lifetime warranty cost a company that wanted to make a real goal of profit & dependability such as Leupold? ,mike243
