Hello all. This is my first time on this forum. I'm originally from Mississppi but moved to TN a few months ago for my job. I'm work in Waverly but live in Dickson. I'm trying to find a few spots to fish for bream as well as catfish. I'll only be able to fish from the bank right now. Any advice, tips, suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Cheatham Dam, Montgomery bell state park, Harpeth River are the first things that comes to mind. But I live on the east side of nashville and I am not that familiar with your area, Welcome to Tndeer.

Montgomery Bell for sure. Also I know people fish at the City Lake.....but really don't know if or what they catch.

Thanks! I live about 5 miles from Montgomery Bell right off of 70. I also work about 10 miles from Kentucky Lake. I think I will try Montgomery Bell first.

welcome to the site. Wish I were familiar with montgomery bell. Been to dickson 2 or 3 times and not to fish. Harpeth river isn't far off from you, and is good to wade or bank fish in some places. Plenty of cats, bass, bream (longear sunfish on the bed now), also gar, drum, carp, if you ever fish for those. There are plenty of bluegill but I have a hard time finding any of decent size. Longear sunfish are small too but are the coolest looking fish you can catch right now.
