Do-It molds just came out with this new jighead... its called a Darter Weedless'.

Basically a streamlined head on an EGW hook for rigging plastics in grass.

I got it for rigging craws in some of the brackish shallow duck ponds that have aquatic grass for reds.

Poured up several heads last night, going to get them painted and give them a try in a couple weeks when I get to fish again.

I like it! What size hook I might have done around here that I'll send you.
I only poured 1/4oz (3-0 EGW) and 3/16oz (2-0 EGW) heads. I really wish the mold would accept 3-0 or 4-0 hooks in the 1/8oz cavity... as I don't need much weight when fishing in 2ft of water or less, but alas, even the 3-0 is too big a hook to fit in the 1/8oz slot unless I dremel it out a bit... which I may do if the reds straighten out the 2-0 hook wire. Those reds are STRONG!

I have a pack of hooks I think #1s or #2s for a weedless ned head (that didn't work in my ned rig mold). They look like that exact bend but, sounds like they're too small for your mold.

Got to give them a run yesterday.

Hard falling tide, found a couple shallow drains with very clear water....

I started with my regular jig with a paddletail (what I normally use). Caught the first one, then threw at a 2nd one 4x before he ate. He broke the line, so I retied with these new heads and a Zman GOAT (crawfish/ crab imitation). Every fish after that turned on the bait and inhaled it as soon as they saw it first cast. I watched 5 more eat right in front of me (less than 10ft from the boat).

In total, I ended up with 6 slots, plus bumped another 12. All in less than 16 inches of water.

I checked 7 drains, but fish were only in 3 of the 7. I still can't figure out why they preferred those locations over the others, as all drains had baitfish, crabs, and shrimp in them.
