I just completed my newest SML. It is a 30 caliber with a 28" 10 twist Krieger heavy varmint barrel, Savage 10 action in a Boyds Thumbhole Varmint stock, LRMP and Direct ignition systems, Sighted thru a Sightron 8-32x56 scope. I made 3 plugs for it which allow it to simulate a 308, 30-06, and 300 WM. The 3 powder chambers are 308- 48gr IMR4350, 30-06- 60gr IMR4350, and 300WM- 74gr IMR4350. So far I have only shot one load to zero the gun. I have a full form die borrowed from another fellow who has the same barrel but it appears that his lands are a thousandth or so narrower than mine, which makes sizing and loading cumbersome, so I don't plan to shoot a lot until I receive my full form die in a few weeks. Just the few shots so far with 60gr IMR4350 and a 150SST have been a blast to shoot and it should be no surprise that the velocity (2956 fps) matched right up to a 30-06 shooting the same load. It truly is like shooting a cartridge gun without the brass. Even though it will not be legal for Deer here in TN, I plan to do some varmint hunting with it and Deer hunt neighboring states where it is legal.
