Wish I'd known you were in town, I'd met you for lunch. Nolensville Pike is great for Mexican food. Even better for breakfast on Saturday mornings.

I work 10 minuites from that place. I'll have to stop in there. I have hit most of the mexican places around here but not that one. That's a great part of town isn't it Poser? haha

Is Melrose Billiards the pool room that's located downstairs? I think it used to be called 'The Golden Rail'. If so, I have not been there in 20 years. Along with some friends, we did finish a keg at what use to be a bowling alley next door.

Yes. Its next to where The Sutler used to be.

The Sutler was good stuff, next time you are in that area let me know and I'll get you a beer, I'm sure I owe you at least one from the entertainment I get from following your threads.

I wouldn't discredit several of the food trailers in parking lots down nolensville rd either, they are great for carne asada tacos on the way home from a night out.

Poser-

I don't even know the name of the place but it's on the corner of Nolensville and Elysian Fields Dr. It's an old gas station (there's even a used tire shop behind it.

BEST MX food. Or should should I say most authentic. Reminds me of Campeche style MX food.

I haven't eaten there yet, but a new Mexican place just opened in Bartlett...just east of the Movie theater at Stage and Kirby Whitten I think its called Las Palmitas. I stopped in and looked at the Menu yesterday. It looks worth checking out.

Will have to give that a try. I usually go to Lopez's in Madison on Gallatin Rd for roasted chicken. Some of the best and their "red sauce" has a nice kick to it. A half chicken with the beans and rice I have had many times for dinner.

Every El Tap I've been to has been good. I'm not sure if it's a chain with a common menu or just good luck. There are two in Cookeville and one up here in ETown.

Las Americas on Nolensville road is the best mexican I have had. It is like La Hacienda on Nolensville Rd used to be before they became americanized. Its like an indoor taco stand and market. There is an old mexican lady there that makes home made papusas.

Just ate el tapatio last night. The Cuban torta was GREAT, and huge. Thx for the advise. I was always kind of scared of that place.
