Preston Pittman is one of the best turkey hunters ever. He took about an hour of his time at NWTF convention to talk with me about an old tough tom that I was having trouble with. The advice he gave me is not what the marketing people like to hear, but I did what he said & I wound up killing the bird that I named "Tight Lipped Tom". I never heard that bird gobble ever. I killed him the 3rd year I hunted him. The advice I got, big boss bird that you can't do anything with. Find where he's using & sit & wait on him to slip up. Don't call, just sit & wait & hope he walks by you. That's what I did & it worked.
