Looking for a scope for my muzzle loader. I realized last night my sight on the end of the barrel had broke off somehow. Any recommendations on a good cheap sight? Heak if anyone has one laying around they aint gonna use I would sure put it to good use just PM me. Thanks and God Bless

I've used a Nikon Prostaff the last 4 seasons and it's been great. My gun is very accurate and I've had no problems out of the scope. It gathers light well and doesn't fog up. For a 100 bucks I'm very happy with it. I do have a set of fiber optic sights that came off my cva. They are open sights your welcome to them if it helps.

I've had a 4X Weaver on my Knight for 20 years with no issues and no need to adjust in that time period. It was what I could afford at the time but I see no need to change it out. If I were purchasing something today I would probably get a Leupold VX-1 given I'm only going to hunt with it 6-8 days a season.

Being that ML season opens in 2 days, you don't have time to take recommendations here and then go look for a particular scope somewhere. I'd be heading to the closest gun shop in the area and taking their advice on the scopes they actually have in stock. You've just got tomorrow to mount it and sight in. Time is way too short to be selective!

Oh Ok. Well, then I'd say the Leupold VX I or Rifleman is hard to beat for the money. Especially if you ML hunt like most of us and will only use the gun 4 or 5 days of the year.
