Well, we just got back from our trip to Wyo. It was our first trip there, so we weren't sure what to expect. It was five of us us guys and one brought his wife along. All together, all 5 guys got a buck, and the guy that brought his wife got a doe, and so did she. They said it was the best vacation they had ever had.
None of our bucks were book animals, but they are all trophies to us. They were all our first antelopes.
I took a lot of pics, but this slow computer I have, it has taken me almost 2 hours to upload 2 pics. If I can get some more uploaded, I will post them.
Saw some absolutely beautiful country. I pulled off 3 stalks on 3 different groups, and the 3rd group had this buck that I liked.
25-06 Tikka, 117gr BTSP handloads, Burris 4.5x14x44. 357 yards, dropped like a sack of taters!!
He has nice heart shaped horns and decent cutters.
I have no idea what he measures, we didn't put a tape on any of them. It doesn't matter to us what they score. We went out there as a group of friends to have fun, and were fortunate enough to fill tags to go along with it.
Here is mine.
Here is a group pic when we dropped them off at the taxidermist.
One guy is not in the pic, he decided not to have his mounted.
The one holding 2 is his buck and his wife's doe. He is having it mounted for her. His & Her's..
I had so much fun, I can't wait to go back. We all had a great time. Good friends, beautiful country, good food, lots of laughs, a few animals, and lots of great memories brought back to Tennessee!
