He is mainly seen at night and was seen by my best friend two weeks ago. He said this thing is unreal.
I know where he beds and I know his rub line and scrapes. I have not posted about it much. He has eluded last 3 years and he would be my first drop tine. My buddy confirmed it on one side but could be both he said.
He is also a big body deer, was a typical 8 when I first encountered him. I am going to try something new Friday.
I have to go down the mountain but this time I will be far enough away from his what I believe is his core area. I will then go in linear within 50 yards and setup I have a climber I am bringing in. This can change based on wind.
No I don't use trail cams because I did not want to keep being disappointed lol. His pattern is mainly nocturnal. I have seen him 3 times in daylight hours with no shots.
I have not pressured him at all but can't say he is still alive after muzzle load except the new rubs I seen yesterday. I still hunted in the rain keeping and washing my scent away.
