My prayer

This season was difficult for me. It was hard to hunt with the flood of memories and emotions. Not being able to share the highlights and lows of the season with my father left me just numb. My wife convinced me to mount two bucks as a reminder of the season my father passed. It was a blessing for me to receive such kind words and heartfelt prayers from many of you on this forum. My prayer today remains the same, let us never forget those who taught us to enjoy the outdoors and to pass this blessing to the next generation.

Sorry for your loss, Trout. Know that he was right there with you to make sure you got thru the season this year, and cheering you on. I lost my dad in 2005, and every deer season since then brings a flood of emotions. We spent a lot of time together in the woods and on the waters, so I can definitely relate to your feelings.
