Conner got his first gobbler this Saturday and he is fired up more than ever.
We set up in a pasture on our lease land in the rain Saturday afternoon. I left him there for a moment to go check the next field, and found a gobbler a few hundred yards from our set up. We relocated and called him in. Conner turned the 20 gauge magnum blends loose and it was over. We were both excited. He has accomplished a lot in the hunting world for his age, but this one he worked hardest for.
Mature bird, 19 lbs. 1" spurs, 9" beard (what was left of beard, had "beard rot")
