Daddy has my deer finished up.
All dried and painted. Couldn't be any happier with how he turned out.
That's the pose he was in when I shot him. He had just rubbed a cedar and began to walk away when I stopped him. I've still got to build a pedestal for him to be attached to the wall.

Do you know what form that is? And, yes please post a pic after you get him hunt. I nearly went with a pedestal mount on my last deer but realized too late that I didn't have enough cape for a pedestal mount. If I kill another that I have mounted, I will consider a pedestal mount very seriously again.

Agree with everyone else...looks great! I doubt I'll ever get another buck mounted but if I do it'll be a pedestal mount.

Dad fixed up a platform for me to hang him on the wall.
Just need to cover up the bolts.
Can't wait to bring him home!

He also got my Brother's Iowa Bow kill beast finished up.
They built a floor pedestal from Barnwood and rusty tin roofing.
He had a picture with him and the buck printed on the tin.
