JMO....but you might consider checking GunBroker or one of the other auction sites for a good quality used scope. I've found a couple really good Leupolds that way at a much lower price than new......& with Leupold's and Vortex's warrenty you can have any problems corrected at no cost but shipping. Just another option to consider.
 
I bought a 3x9x40 Diamondback Vortex earlier this year at a good price. Lots of specials going on right now.
 
Have a 3-9x40 nikon prostaff bdc on my accura, and put a 3-9x40 nikon inline on my wife's accura mr.

If nikon were still making scopes, would be my first choice. Burris scopes would be my next choice.
