JMO....but you might consider checking GunBroker or one of the other auction sites for a good quality used scope. I've found a couple really good Leupolds that way at a much lower price than new......& with Leupold's and Vortex's warrenty you can have any problems corrected at no cost but shipping. Just another option to consider.

Have a 3-9x40 nikon prostaff bdc on my accura, and put a 3-9x40 nikon inline on my wife's accura mr.

If nikon were still making scopes, would be my first choice. Burris scopes would be my next choice.

Regular Diamondbacks have a pretty poor eye relief. This could be a problem on some rifles. Most of the Loopie VX-Freedom line up will be in a good range of 3.7-4.2" and can be found as low as $200 on sale.

Occasionally MidwayUSA has the Viper HS 2.5-10x44 on sale for $250. It has 4" of relief but you will need 30mm rings for it.
