In the market for an in line muzz that shoots no.11 cap, whats the best one for acur and distance.

Early version Knight inlines used #11 caps. But I don't think there's been an inline made in the last 6 or 7 years that uses #11s.

209 primers are considered ammunition and felons can't possess but a muzzleloader and 11 caps there good to go I believe

Same question here. Only thing I can think of is if he has a record and can't own certain firearms. Think the #11 caps are viewed different. Oh well it doesn't matter so as mentioned previously the earlier Knight muzzleloaders use them. I had one (T-5 Woodsman) that I bought back in the early to mid 90's that my brother-in-law owns now. Very good guns so have him look for a Knight. Think another model is LK93. My brother still uses an old Thompson Center that uses #11 caps.

Seems like a gunsmith could make a breech plug for #11's. Anyone think the samething?

Knight still sells the bighorn that uses the #11 caps, it is called "western" for states where you can't use 209's. What I would recommend is buying the used disc exteme in the classified section on here and then buy the western conversion kit for it from knights website.

Sounds like a traditional side hammer gun to me. What do you mean by acur and distance?

There's nothing wrong with #11 caps. They do exactly what they were designed to do....set off a charge of real black powder. The trend towards the use of 209 primers is the result of modern black powder substitutes tendency to be hard to ignite. Since just about everyone is using 209s it sure enough has made #11s hard to find.
