Went for a few hours this morning. Had a good trip. My son hooked up in the standing timber and i could tell it was no crappie. Turned out to be 4 pound catfish. I ended up keeping 6 blacknose crappie (only kind we caught). Had 3 that didnt make length. Also had our first 12 inch crappie. Most came on minnows on a slip bobber in about 10 ft of water. Caught some bluegill but none big enough to keep. Just got them all cleaned. Not a big fam of catfish but we have 2 big filets on ice- we will see. TWRA was on the lake doing a fisherman satisfaction survey. They were nice.
