How far apart do you put your trophy rock or whatever mineral you use. I read a article that said every 20 acres. I have a mineral site on the property that has been there for probably 2 or 3 years and they have a hole where the original site is and where I keep adding new. But I'm afraid if I add more it will make them to not frequent this one as much. What are your opinions.

One per every quarter square mile (160 acres) would be plenty. I have one per 80 acres and individual deer end up using several of them (meaning I don't need as many as I have).

I have 6 on 600ac. One thing I did when planning placement was overlay a grid atop the aerial to help determine where to place them so they weren't too close to one another (or there were overly large gaps in placement).

I have 2 on my 63acres,used to have many more, till I realized they really aren't much of a draw during hunting season, rarely seen a deer actually walk to one while hunting.

One per hundred acres is sufficient- no set limit.

If my plan was to bow hunt over them I would rather have a few quality mineral sites. If I just wanted to hang some cameras up I would make a few more.

At the moment I just have one on 235 acres. I intend to put in two more. The land is not a square either which makes it more spread out than you might expect for that amount of acreage. Extreme corners of the property are over a mile apart in the "long" direction.
