Just received a special invite from them and found that i qualified for a special pricing on some of their mdse. upon
clicking on the Accura V_2 MZ from CVA i saw it was priced at
359.99....including shipping!!! for the black / stainless
non-thumbhole model......i dont care for the thumbhole stocks, but to each his own......This is the best price i have found on one and i have been looking for the better part of a year.

There's a couple places on gunbroker that are advertising Optima Elites with the same barrel as the Accura for $225 in blued and $265 in camo/stainless (Buy it Now Prices).

Would that be essentially the same thing except you'd be able to switch out barrels if you wanted?

Blued, vs. the 416 grade quality fluted stainless is a big difference and the blued is Not a "bergara" barrel but a spanish barrel without the scrutiny the bergarra goes thru as i understand it......the barrels labled bergara are production run but at a much higher scrutiny and are very accurate.

I believe the Elites were also Bergara barrels. However, there are a lot of other improvements in the Accura V2, not least of which are the finger-removeable breachplug, much improved trigger, and much improved (IMO) stock ergonomics. I'd pay the extra for the V2. I sold my Optima and haven't regretted it.

I cant find anything to substantiate that but i am not arguing. I went to their 2011 web site and the elite is not listed but it clearly states that the Bergara is only available on the apex and accura models. also note that the optima is not fitted with iron sites but drilled only, whereas the accura is shown with both and comes with a "claw" sling to boot. Either way i only solely made the purchase with three important features for me. the 416 ss barrel, the qrbp, and most importantly the "bergara barrel"......it is a quality piece of equipment.

Optima Elites were the first to wear the Bergara badge. stainless steel or black, they are bergara made.

Apex replaces the optima elite.

Bergara barrel on my CVA Accura i used to have:

The only CVA that you can switch out barrels on to my knowledge is the Apex..... muzzleloader to centerfire.
