the turkey didn't gobble very well this morning.We heard 5 or so gobble a few times each.I had one gobble close so me and my nephew moved in and set up.The turkey never gobbled but showed up right where I expected.Ended up being two big gobblers.We could have gotten one but were trying to get the double but before we could get lined up some dogs came from the direction the gobblers did and spooked them.
I went back over there at 130 and sat and started calling agressive.Loud yelps and lots of cutting.About 30 minutes into it I looked down the hill and 2 gobblers were standing 30 yards away.They never gobbled one time.I picked one and shot it.The other one just jumped and hung around.I could have shot it also.
20lbs.just short of 1" spurs and 9.5" beard 3" beard and 1" beard.
