"Messing" with COAL

Second stage of learning about ballistics.
I loaded three different lengths of cartridges my 7mm08 Remington Buckmaster rifle....

2.81" COAL (Cartridge Overall Length) was my best group
44.0g Varget
140g Barnes TSX
Winchester primers
Timney trigger with Zeiss Conquest scope
100 yards 5-6mph wind

Velocity of the 4 shots:
2861
2894
2861
2888
Mean 2876 SD 17.5

I think this will hunt.
At the end I adjusted the scope to 1" high at 100 yards and fired a few more to confirm the changes. The brass looked good at the end.

7MM08: Was your target at 200 yards? Said you set your scope 1 inch high at 100 yds and your group is low. Great group at 200.

That target was at 100 yards. I then adjusted my scope to shoot 1" high @ 100 yards after I shot this group.
