Marlin X7VH any reviews

I have a trade offer to trade into a Marlin X7VH 22-250 with a 26 bull barrel, 4 x 14 x 40 Simmons ATV scope and a set of bipods. and a couple boxxes of Ammo . For my Riger M77 270 with rings . Any body have any experiance with the marlins ? seem to be a fair trade ?

Marlin X7S in 243 Win shot well grouping at an inch or less with good ammo. Functioned perfectly. Able to adjust to what ever you want in trigger pull (mine was set at 3 1/2# from factory). Good finish on metal. It is a rather light rifle in standard barrel and easier to carry if stalking in woods. The Marlins are not holding value as well as Ruger but that is mainly Brand prejudice. I have not known anyone with the heavy barrel so can not comment on it.

There is no way I would trade a $500+ rifle for a $400 rifle. Simmons scope isn't worth the difference.
