That would be a great Alaska gun. I watched some guy shoot caribou at 400 yards with that round after he killed a moose.

I don't use my 45/70 much but it's nice having one around. If you're a reloader it can wear many hats.


You should buy at least one, maybe three.

Sportsman Warehouse had them on sale up here a few months ago for $1199. Couldn't pass up a good deal so added one back to my collection. Best part was no sales tax

There's one in Martin about 45 minutes from me. They do have some good deals from time to time.
