Hunting Tellico West in a couple of weekends and am putting together a plan for meat processing in case we have some success. In order to maximize hunt time, I'm planning to use a local processor. Anybody have any leads or info on the local folks in the business?

Google pulls up Morgan's and Keith's - one gets better reviews, but doesn't have as many and the one with worse reviews might be under new management. Other places nearby I should be looking? It's my first time hunting the area, so any reco is much appreciated.

Keith's does not take deer anymore haven't in about 3 years. Morgans in the last 2 years has took deer up to November and they say they are full. I would check with morgans its a new year so they make take some deer. Morgans is high also and I fill you don't get all your meat you should. I use morgans till the Amish start taking deer which is November 1 then I use them they are located in Englewood its $60 no matter the size atleast that's what they did last year.

Really appreciate the info. Is the place in Englewood called Creekside Custom Butchering? Just looking for an address or phone number so I can make sure to head to the right place. Englewood is the wrong direction for me (I'm coming from Greeneville), but I'd drive an extra few minutes for good processing for sure.

Yes that's tge name of them

Just FYI, your not going to find a phone number for that Amish place :)

They do good work. You won't have frozen meat from them so be sure you bring a cooler if you have a 30+ min drive to get there. Also, it's 3 days usually to get it back and they give you a time so you might have to take off work. I recommend getting some of their bologna made.

Yes get bologna. We get it and put it in the smoker and you will eat it all in one sitting if you are not careful

Yeah I've at a least a pound in a sitting before lol, jerky is good from them too but it can be inconsistent. Might have to dry it out a little more when they are done
