Anyone lose a buck with an arrow stuck in it?
Giles/ Marshall county line. Sunday at midday, we found a one antlered two pointer with an Easton Axis N-fused carbon 400 stuck in it's side. White/green/yellow Blazer fletchings. Muzzy 100. Looked like a severe quartering away shot. Hit midway up body and about 6" behind crack of on side leg. Not a bad hit just got poor (about 4") penetration due to severe entry angle.
It had not been dead very long. Only had one eye pecked out, no flies, and a critter had started to eat on the anus.
If I had hit and lost this deer, I would want to know what happened.
