Looking for a taxidermist in Middle TN.

Need a taxidermist for a buck shoulder mount. Willing to drive a couple hours from Middle TN for a quality mount. Any recommendations? Thanks!

Bubba Primm is who has one for me but it's my first with him. Several people here including @TNTreeman recommended him and after seeing his work took mine there. His turnaround time is about a year so I don't have mine back from muzzleloader last year (2021) and I'm fine with that. I didn't take it for a couple months trying to find somebody. Nice guy and talked to him quite a while. Been doing it on the side a long time and will probably do more when he retires.

I have several mounted by Bubba. At least 6 that I can think of, going back ten years or so. He was previously doing it part time but now he has retired from his other job and doing taxidermy full time. He is a great guy and does wonderful work. He has gone up on his pricing but within the range of normality for quality taxidermy. I can send pictures of his work if you are interested.

I've used Chris Butt twice and been very pleased. Wildlife Taxidermy. I believe he's in Portland now.

Foster Butt is his dad - a taxidermist bowriter recommended once. That's how I found him.

I had heard that Chris passed away a few months ago.

Wow. I had not heard that, but I also haven't dealt with him in a few years.

I just found his obituary. He was barely more than a year older than me. That's sad.

My guy only charges $150. He did this mount for me about 15 years ago. Still looks as good as the day I picked it up.

He used to live right down the road when he lived in Franklin. He does great work. I think he's in Dickson now.
