I've never had bucks on my properties. The property I have now I've estimated holds 60-70 doe and maybe a spike here and there. Always have fawns so I've never really known what breeds them. Posted in another thread suggesting Moultrie cams and thought I'd check mine. Got a pic of this guy. This cam is strapped to a cedar tree in THICK shade looking out into bright sun and judging by the ground he can't be more than 2' from the camera.

Since you don't shoot bucks, please send me the coordinates so you're not tempted. LOL.

Super nice buck and good luck if do decide to try to put an arrow through him.

I'm confused here, why don't you shoot bucks?
For one I just think does taste better, they steer cattle for a reason, LOL! But mainly I'm cheap and my wife doesn't want a head on the wall, I really don't care enough to argue with her about it and so I'm not gonna pay $500 or whatever it costs to mount it and it sit in the basement on the floor somewhere.

I just finished a hunt out West and shot a Pronghorn Antelope and I kept the head for euro but only because it was a special out west deal, etc. I'm not even sure I'd euro a trophy TN whitetail. So in my mind if I'm just hunting for meat I just feel it's better to let deer like that walk for someone who would appreciate it as meat and a trophy.

You don't have to ask me twice. Call or text me if you do. I'd give it the old college try. 👍
I have 6 cameras within a 300 yd radius of that cam and not another single pic.

I did have three bucks show up on camera last year. Two were like little 4 pts and one was a big typical 8. Big basket rack. I actually saw all three together from the stand 3 times last year.

I went back to the pics from last year and this bucks rack doesn't look anything like the other one. I think it's a different buck.

I know there has to be bucks somewhere because I have too many doe dropping fawns each year. I bought this place in 2019 and 2019-2023 seasons I've shot between 7 and 11 doe each year and I still have a bunch of them.

If he starts showing up on camera I'll text you. If you shoot him you owe me a Fat Mo and I want the spicy seasoned fries.

That same buck showed on the same cam the next day. I now have two pics - 9/6/24 10:35AM and 9/7/24 7:11PM. But I've now got two more 8 pts on camera. It could be those same 3 from last year but I find it hard that even the big buck could've blown up into what this one turned into and one of the two from last year made too big of a jump as well. I did have one 8 pt last year of the 3 and he does look similar to one of the 8 pts I got on cam this year.

For the life of me I can't figure out how he's been on the same cam twice without being caught on another. I did talk to the guy on the neighboring property Saturday and he's aware of him so we'll see how it goes. I bought two more cams and put them on two different routes, maybe I can see where he's going.

in that first picture its 10:35a and 86 degrees and that buck is up moving? Is there water around? It looks dried up in that picture. Where I'm from this is unusual.

He is standing in front of my cam overlooking the dry creek bed that I don't think has even been moist since I've owned the property. He's predominantly facing the west in that pic and about 200 yds north of him is a real good size natural spring fed pond. I have one cam pointed straight at that pond and 3 more around it to where he couldn't get to it without getting his pic taken and no pics.

The pic at 7PM the next day he's on the same cam but walking east going back, but a day and a half later. He's on a prominent trail I ride my atv on and at least 2 cams that direction. Doe everywhere on those cam but not him.
