Lock on advise

Thats going to be your most comfortable, but like he said they are high.

I have the nice bone collector stand from walmart with big seat, armrest, and shooting rail. I wouldnt be afraid to sit all day in it.

I have hunted mostly from hang on stands and own several different types, so I can offer some advice. In my opinion, the standard hang on stands for $50 - $100 just don't cut it for long sits. Lack of comfort will cause you to move around too much and could ruin your hunt. I don't think it's worth saving $50 or $100 to not be comfortable most or all day. If you plan to hang it and leave it for all or most of the season, then you have more options for comfortable hang on stands, but if you plan to move it around a lot then you need a lighter stand and your options for a lighter, comfortable hang on are more limited.

For all day sits you need something like the new Millennium M150 Monster Hang On. It's brand new for 2013 and comes with an adjustable seat height, which their famous M100 Hang On does not have. I am 6'2" and the short 17" height of my M100 makes my legs feel kind of cramped after a while. The new M150 will adjust from 17" up to 20" in seat height. The platform is huge. It has a built in foot rest (you have to buy a separate foot rest for the M100). It also has up to 15 degrees of leveling capability to accommodate trees with a lean. The M100 does not have any leveling capability. The only negative with the M150 is that it's heavier than the M100 (19.5 lbs vs 14). If you want a lighter stand and you're 6' tall or less then the M100 will do you fine if you add the optional foot rest. One neat thing about Millennium stands is their bracket mounting system. You can buy several of the mounting brackets for about $25 and mount one on multiple trees that you want to hunt. This allows you to more easily move the stand from one tree to another throughout the season. If you have your tree steps and mounting brackets already pre-positioned in the woods, then it's just a matter of packing in the stand, climbing the tree and sliding the stand into the mounting bracket and you're hunting. The new M150 is the "Cadillac" of hang on stands, and no, I don't work for Millennium. It will run you about $250.

Another good and less expensive hang on stand for long sits is the Gorilla King Kong Expedition HX. These have an excellent reputation for comfort because of the contoured seat and there are several reviews with guys saying this is their favorite stand. The only problem is that Gorilla stopped making treestands this year and there are only a few of these Expedition HX stands still available for sale online. If you want the ultimate treestand for all day comfort and hunting flexibility then you want a Guido's Web. I got one late last season and hunted out of it one time before the season was over. I got my first ever bow kill out of it that day. It is awesome and I will be using it for most of my hunting this year. You will spend over $300 on it, but you may never want to hunt in another stand after you use it.

For all hangon users, whatever stand you get, add one of the "life-line" fall restraint devices to the tree. A major portion of the falls occur while climbing up the tree on whatever system you are using and then stepping over onto the stand. If you wait until you are on the stand platform to hook up you may be too late.

While hanging stands in IL a couple of years ago, I watched one of the lifelines save my buddy from a very serious fall.

Likewise, make sure you are using one of the lineman's type belts while you are hanging the stand. There have been a bunch of very serious accidents while hanging.

lol,some people dont burnout due to having to work alot.i hunt all day when i get only one or two days a week to hunt

I've sat in Gorillas with the nice padded seat and arm rest all day. Its not a Millennium but its not that expensive either
