A buddy of mine recently got married and his wife's family owns a farm. He and his wife now reside on said farm. Is he now included in the landowner exemption status? Or does he need all applicable licenses to hunt it? I think the latter.

I'm guessing but wouldn't he be exempt as a tenant?

If he meets the following definition, he would qualify as a tenant and be exempt from the licenses:
(3) "Tenant" means an individual who receives compensation, such as free rent or money, for acting either in the place of or at the direction of the landowner in tending to the requirements needed to care for the farmland. The primary purpose of the tenancy shall be agricultural in nature.
