My son has a Enfield .303... He has a hankering for a Mosin Nagant... He wants to sell or trade the Enfield to get the other.. I've been trying to convince him that he has the best of the two already... Any input on this?... Anything that I can use to convince him more?

Yeah the Enfield is a much better, user friendly rifle if it is in good shape. And as someone pointed out MNs are cheap- can get one in great rebuilt condition for $150 or sometimes much less. Cheap ammo is the only plus for the MN when comparing the two. Just buy him a MN.

All true statements unless you compare to a Fin. My M39 is a nice piece of work and accurate as all get out. Shoots every bit as good as my Longbranch No4.A much more refined rifle than your run of the mill Nagant. Better stock ergonomics and usually shimmed for accuracy by the Fins. Can find them with Sako and Tikka barrels. Mine is a VKT.

Well, we worked out a deal..... I bought the Enfield from him & he gets a Mosin..... So basically he gets both guns....LOL

They are all his in the long run anyway... :)
