Trip went well...we put busy Gordonsville and motored up to betty island...we caught a lot of small fish...both of us caught the slam, Brooke, rainbow, and Brown...biggest fish of the day was a 15 inch rainbow I caught...it was my first time there and wont be my last...had a lot of fun

That is exactly what we experienced last week. Caught mostly stocker browns with a few bows and brookies mixed in. Caught 60 in total.

Took my son yesterday and waded from the dam down 100 yards or so and couldn't hook into anything. Threw spinners, salmon eggs and every fly in the box. Got there 'fore sunrise and left at 1. First time that's ever happened. Oh well.

One guy down from the dam tagged a brute though and took it home showing everyone along the way to the truck. Rainbow, every bit of 8 lbs. and possibly more than that. Said he got it on a crankbait. Was a beauty for sure.
