LC Smith double barrel

Tring to figure out a good price on this gun anyone ever heard of one.

I'm no expert, but they can be worth a good amount of money. I have one myself. It does have a hairline crack on one of the barrels, so I'm sure it's not worth a whole lot, but they are a collectors gun.

My old book(2008) of gun values show a spread from about $22,500 for a early hammerless 20 gauge A-2 Grade TO a whopping $150 for a Hunters arms boxlock in 12ga.

You need to post some details if you want to get close. I'd also follow a few auctions on gun broker, they will give you an idea what guns like your are selling for.

I'm gonna get the numbers off this gun tommorrow. Older lady I know has it and someone offered her 200.00 for it I told her to hold off till I done some checking for her.

LC Smiths are like Parkers and Fox s/s. I don't own one. My Dad however bought a Parker about 40 years ago, a hammer 10 guage. Well he thought just because it had hammers, a damacus barrel, and some guys name on it, that the gun was worth $20,000. turnd out he wanted to sell it about 5 years ago and asked me to sell it for him. After I had it appraised by three different people it was worth about $750. It's all about condition, and the model(the actual number that were made). If some yahoo took a wire brush to it or tried to refinish the gun himself....they just devalue it.

Then again I know of a fellow that bought a Krieghkoff at auction for $200 because no one knew what it was and turned around and sold it the next week for $22,000! Seriously.

But if its a 20 or 28 guage....with skeet and skeet...PM me!

I would ditch that shotgun before it explodes in your face. Some of the parts may be worth something.

Why not just put those insert barrels into it and use it. Say it's a 12, but you put 20 guage barrels into and use it.

It want explode in my face because it's not a shooter. Personally a hand hasn't been placed on it in probably 20 years. Just one of those hand me downs from my grandfather. Kinda like the 12 ga from my other grandfather that has electric tape helping hold the barrel to the forearm.

This lets you use that old shotgun again, just in a smaller guage.

Ive done shot the gun in great shape. The serial # 15589 was made in 1919. Gun is as tight as a new one gonna get some pics up soon.
