I went deer hunting the first time this season today, and probably the last of this season. Things changed a lot between development in the area in general and the tornado hitting the wooded section of this small parcel of land. No more trees to climb; used to be sky-high oaks raining acorns all over this place; few small trees remain here and there. This stretch of land is not even walkable. I sat on the edge of some cleared land and listened to nature. More birds this time, and one squirrel and pretty darn cold. Very grateful for the wonderful few years I had hunting here. The right side of the image shows the toppled redneck shooting house on the property.
