Land Between The Lakes Places To Stay

I was going to put in for my son a youth hunt there and was wondering if anyone could recommend somewhere to stay. We have a pop up camper if there is any nice campgrounds anyone could recommend close by. Any help would be greatly appreciated just looking ahead in chance he draws. Thanks

Hilman Ferry and Piney are two campgrounds I've stayed at and are nice with full hookups if needed. There's other campgrounds as well.

Any of the campgrounds that have hookups are nice in my opinion. Some campgrounds have small cabins to rent as well.

Depending on where you are hunting would dictate where you should stay.
I like Piney the best.

I like Piney also. If you have a generator you might also be able to just park and hunt. Not sure of the rules/requirements on this but I've seen it done.

There is additional lodging available in the Paris Landing area, some of which could be closer to your hunting spot(s) than compared to staying in Dover (if you were hunting Area 16, parts of 15.)

Fishtale Lodge is nice, reasonable prices.

and nice place to stay if willing to pay (thru the nose).

If you plan to eat dinner in local restaurants, Mama Mea's in Dover is decent.
Meo Mio's Sportsman Grill at Paris Landing also decent.
Paris Landing State Park Hotel Restaurant is now outstanding & priced accordingly.

Fast food joints @ Dover include McDonald's, Sonic, Taco John's.
Little barbeque stand near McDonald's (when open) has good barbeque.
Food provisions available at Dover Piggly Wiggly & Dollar General.

It's been a while since I've been to LBL, but we used to hunt the Northern TN side and stayed at Wranglers campground just across the line in KY.
