Well, this year my 10 year old son wanted to go after the walleye in Lake Erie for our annual spring fishing trip. Just got back yesterday. Weather and fishing conditions were tough, but we survived bringing back 5 and tossed a few others back. Lost a very nice one at the boat too, guessing 6# or so. Booked a charter out of Port Clinton, OH and the captain was a stand up guy (in pictures). But Ben did outstanding; rain, wind, lock-jaw, nothing stopped him from limiting (4/day). Dad on the other hand.....well, bet was I have do do his chores for a week.

What part of Lake Eire were you on? Most places don't open the season until the 1st weekend in May, due to the spawn. Nice looking fish though.

Went out of Port Clinton, Ohio. (near Marblehead and the islands) April limit is 4 and jumps to 6 in May. I don't think the season closes per say. I hear early April is the time to connect with a big one, but June is their busiest time of year. We went to a ma & pop type restaurant that had fresh walleye and perch. Incredible, had to loosen up the belt.

Up here In New York season opens First of May and almost all fishing for them is done at night..that's when the big one's cruise!! I checked out your pictures and just wanna say i don't dress that heavy in the middle of winter!!
