No better or worse than cowpeas, just harder to find.

Tried it for the first time this year. Huge success. Very drought tolerant and rejuvenates quickly when eaten. I will be planting more next spring. I used the Tecomate LabLab Plus mix.

I have used cowpeas a good bit and had a hard time justifying the increased cost of lablab. After watching a few videos this year on some results of the deer specific legumes, I may give them a try next year.

Eagle lablab is no cow pea. I would highly recommend. Had a 4 acre stand shoulder high. RR bean. Simply unbelievable tonage

What is the reason to plant lab lab over beans?

Main thing I see is that lablab recovers better (comes back) under grazing pressure, but I may have overlooked it having greater tolerance to drought.
