Kyles ford wma

I drove from tazewell, through sneed ville and all the way over through rogersville today. I drove by the kyles fordwma. Has anyone hunted there? It is small compared to some of the wma at 1000 acre but the ley of the land looked like it may hold big deer. I just thought I'd ask.

I went there on the last day of season a few years ago and was afraid to get out of my truck to hunt. Each parking area had from 3 to 5 trucks parked there. 90 percent of the wma is just that one long ridge.

Worm 82 thanks for update. I did a little studying and seen that it was only 1000 acres. I think that is a little on the smaller side compared most if the others. It seems that you cannot hunt quail and rabbits, only train dogs. Which makes sense, my dad was with me saying " How could you keep from shooting someone else over there." Lol

I've turkey hunted over that way and we found some big rubs from the previous year, and saw some good trails. Like Worm said, it probably gets a lot of pressure during firearms season, but might be a good place to archery hunt though.
