Taking my Daughter Saturday morning to hunt the opening day of rifle. She is 9, and still a little to small for the muzzle loader, but she can shoot the 243. She was sick for the juvi hunt, and her brother killed on muzzleloader, so she is up next. Who else is taking a kid this weekend ?

just wanted to say goodluck to her...my little man is sick right now so not sure he will be going(we've both been fighting a cold) now we are getting better and my wife has it lol...was gonna take him opening day of rifle then to the ut game against vandy in nashville..hopefully he will be better...anyways goodluck hope she connects
Took my 9-year old son last weekend and he killed his second one with my 50-caliber encore. Killed one last year with it. Honestly he doesn't notice any difference with it and his. 243. Good luck.

my son shot the 50 cal this past weekend as well and there was no problem... he is 10 yrs old and only 65 lbs. i use the cva optima pro mag. he said the same thing, it didn't kick any worse then his 243
My son who is 10 also, don't have a problem. The muzzleloader is still a little big for her, as in she can't sholder it good enough to get up on the scope like she should. She has a Remington, youth model 243, and has no problem. She has killed a deer with it before. My son said he could tell the difference in the kick, but also said it wasn't bad at all.
