Kids help...

Have a 10 year old son and a 11 year old daughter that's never hunted. Want to get a decent crossbow for them to share. Any ideas that won't break the bank that will be good for them to use?? Thanks

Look on Chattanooga craigslist, type in Excalibur, seen a phoenix on there for around 250-300. My wife just sold hers and it will be all they need for awhile.

You really need to get them in store and find one that fits them. I have found that the stocks on several of them are long and awkward for them to aim. I had to modify the stock (cut 3" off) of mine for my daughter.

Install a plate that keeps them from sticking their thumb up. The end of the thumb is the main one that is normally removed from the hand.
