My son and I are headed up to Kentucky for our annual hunting trip. I really enjoy this trip, it's like my super bowl. He is 34 with kids 6, 8, and 11 and they keep him busy so we don't get much time like this. We have a small lease in Christian county, hunting is pretty good, usually a couple good ones running around and we usually see deer. I know several on here hunt in Kentucky so good luck to all you guys, whether you're hunting Kentucky or Tennessee muzzleloader. Enjoy yourself and be safe

Foggy as all get out up here today. Taking the oldest boy and decided to just take our time instead of rushing around at 4:30 to go sit in the fog. We'll head out here shortly.
Had a couple decent looking bucks show up on camera last night, hope to get after them this evening when the wind should be better for that spot.

Hunted all morning in Christian Co. (I live there) and came back to the house to get chores done. Was mowing the pasture and one of my target bucks comes bouncing along right in front of me, while I'm MOWING! Stopped at 75 yards to say hello and watch me cry. I'll be back after them in the morning. Good luck to you fellows!

That's tough there, as warm as it's been today they moved really good on us.

I hunted Christian county this weekend. Very few shots and does still bunched up. We took a nice 10 pt, two 8 pts and five does. I saw 40 deer in three days. Passes on three nice bucks. Heading back tomorrow to solo hunt the rest of the week.

So how much do leases up that way cost? I assume as much or more than leases down here?
When you can find a lease figure on $2000 for each hunter.
100 acres of mixed hardwoods and ag fields should accommodate 2 hunters. Therefore $4000 for a lease.
Can't figure per acre cause nobody is going to lease a small tract for less than a couple grand. Just not worth their trouble.

People here have offered to pay my taxes to hunt here. I'm on the greenbelt, taxes are stupid cheap. No way I'm dealing with that headache for that pittance. They also offered to help work around here. I know exactly how that would work out.
