Was at the local Gander Mtn earlier tonight and darn if they didn't have 3 New SC made FWT's on the rack,2 .30/06 and a .270 Win.Dang near had to bring one home with me but managed to pass for now.

Thought somebody might want to look at one.

Looked at them Wednesday. Also fondled the Remington 700 Alaskan Ti. For $1999 that one will rust on the shelf. It was pretty slick though.

Knowing you, it had to be hard walking away from those Winchesters

I saw them on the shelf last Friday. Very nice wood I must say. The 270 Win had the best looking wood IMO. They feel lighter than my FW's for some reason. If it was left handed, it could have come home with me.

It wasn't that hard to walk away from them now a Super Grade may have been impossiable.LOL

As far as feeling lighter they do but some of the last of the New Havens do as well.I haven't confrimed anything but I do think that they changed barrel steel somewhere along the way.
