There is a boy I go to church with that wants to go hunting. He lives in KY and i'm not sure if he has taken the hunter safety course. He is 12 or 13. Can he buy the apprentice license since he lives in KY and does he have to have it in addition to the type 070 and 086? Thank you.

Yes, he is eligible for the Apprentice license if he isn't hunter safety certified.

He won't need the other licenses if he is 12. If he is 13 and requires licenses, the Apprentice license is in addition to the others required.
