Just so ya know, cold weather crappie

Last year I found a small minnow colored crank bait that absolutely tears the crappie up.

The pond near the house I fish, I caught several TARP crappie last year this time of the year.

Drove by it this afternoon on the way home... yeah it is froze over.

JSR5 Blue Shad jointed shad rap is a crappie killer, I troll them real slow and do pretty good on 6-8 lb med light spinning. Great for casting, too. They seen to like the orange belly/blue back, especially in slightly stained water. They are my go-to in the Duck.
