4 hours into a batch my dehydrator stopped turning. Put in to oven for another 3 hours @ 200 degrees but jerky more or less cooked. Texture and taste not right.
Have 2 ponds of teriaki and 1 pound of trial spiced in fridge thats gotta be dealt with.

Question is: Working with ground meat, what temp do ya use for oven and for how long?
I did leave the door cracked also

My dehydrator only goes to 160, pending on moisure content @ 7 hrs with air flow.

I have never done it in my oven, I would try 5 hrs and check it out from there, leave it in longer if needed.

Update!!

Bought a new dehydrator.... Open Country made by Nesco with the variable temp up to 170 degrees I think.
Last one wasn't variable and took 13 to 15 hours for a batch.
1st batch in this bad bow was over done @ 8 hours. Messed up another batch but now I know!! I love this thing. Now if I only had more no fat burger to last for mora than a few weeks. Lol
