3 1/2 or older.

Very likely 4 1/2.

Just believing 3 1/2 is the youngest age this deer might have been when killed.

Your pics are excellent, but still not the same as having those jawbones in your hand.

There seems to be more than expected wear on the last molars, but some of that could have been caused by some tooth chipping (seems one looks like it may have been chipped). At any rate, that molar wear is more indicative of 4 1/2 or older.

Actually, upon further review, I believe this buck is 4 1/2 or older.

By the toothwear process, at least 4 1/2. But the last tooth shows enough crest wear that I would say 50/50 chance the deer is actually older.
